Grow For Humans C.I.C.

Grow as a Community Interest Company (CIC) based in Bedford that focuses on enabling and empowering people to increase physical, emotional and mental well-being, happiness and flourishing in their own lives. Originally formed in 2015, Grow partners with local therapists, teachers and organisations, acting as an umbrella company to bring together a full spectrum of wellbeing solutions under one banner.

·       Grow currently partner with The Re-Use Centre, NOAH, Rethink Mental Illness, The Disability Resource Centre, The Community Voluntary Service and many more to deliver workshops to the long term unemployed, people suffering from mental health issues, and people suffering with disabilities. These workshops help individuals grow in confidence and resilience, encouraging them to set goals in order to experience positive growth and increased meaning and purpose in life.


·       Grow also run a wellbeing supper club at Bedford Pavilion in Bedford Park, aimed at increasing awareness around the importance of nutrition in wellbeing. This includes several guest speakers and a three course menu, designed by a local nutritional psychologist.


·       Grow has a weekly hour long show on local community radio station, In2Beats FM, introducing many practical free ways in which people can increase levels of wellbeing in their everyday lives. It happens every Monday at 11am and is repeated on Tuesday at 1am.

·       Grow runs eight week mindfulness workshops in Bedfordshire, which has been shown to be highly effective in reducing anxiety and depression.

The company was started by Matthew Aylen MSc. BA (Hons), a coach and mindfulness teacher, with an aim of empowering people to change their lives for the better. We are committed to the community, and aim to educate as many people in the local community as possible on the many benefits of not only mindfulness and positive psychology, but also yoga, tai chi, acupuncture, reflexology, naturopathy, osteopathy, and many other complimentary therapies.
